It’s nice to be back at a place we’re familiar with. We are continuing our snowbird lifestyle at Caliente Springs in Desert Hot Springs CA. We were here for a couple weeks over Christmas. This time we are staying a month.
Even though we’ve been here before, the desert is still new terrain for us. It was nice to be welcomed back with my initial as a focal point in the desert landscape.
Rigby settled right in to our daily walks. She doesn’t seem to care if her walks are on desert sand or blacktop as long as she gets them frequently. She is a high strung little “nerve bag” pooch. It is saying a lot that she’s settling in. She also seems to ‘get it’ that she lives in the Big Rig.
Since we were here over Christmas, we have some lay of the land. It’s comforting to have a bit of familiarity in your environment. Things like where is the nearest grocery store, breakfast spot and the best Margarita. All important stuff.
Other Half is happily familiar with the golf course. Familiarity has it’s perks.
