Back in Snowy Toledo

IMG_1564Sorry to have fallen off the radar. Had a crazy week filled with grandkids, siblings, friends and white knuckle drives in Toledo Ohio.  I chose their coldest week so far this winter for my visit.

While I enjoyed negative wind chills and hazardous driving condition in Toledo, Other Half and Rigby enjoyed 70 degrees and sunny skies in Mesa, Arizona. Despite the weather, I had the better week.

His week was spent moving from one couch to the other while alternating between Alka Seltzer Plus Cold & Sinus and Mucinex. Sounds like a great week. Happy I missed it.

IMG_1562My week was spent with my sisters Cindy and Mary. I enjoyed a weeklong sleepover at Cindy’s house. We were in popcorn heaven. She’s got ‘real’ popcorn down to an art. We indulged almost every night. She also collected her Fantasy Football winnings from the Bucket Buddy League.

IMG_1551We celebrated Mary’s birthday and enjoyed time with her daughter, Kate and granddaughter Journee.

IMG_1559And her grandson Lucas. Lucas’s parents, Luke and Jenny, her son Brady and husband Jack shared the celebration. Sorry no pics.

IMG_1567 My 5-year old granddaughter, Lilly, gave me a beauty tip. She told me how to get rid of ‘bumps’ on my forehead with a ‘tiny tube of white stuff.’ Ok, maybe my forehead could use some TLC.

IMG_1565My 2-year old granddaughter, Ally, sprinkled me with fairy dust. Grandmas can always use fairy dust.

IMG_1542Spent time with my mother-in-law at the nursing home. She’s doing well. We had our usual conversation, birds, bingo and laxatives.

IMG_1539Enjoyed lunch with my girls from Bay Area Credit union, Diana, Val and Sue.

IMG_1572Had coffee with Cindy and Lori at the Flying Joe in Perrysburg, Ohio.

IMG_1546And dinner with Lisa and Peg at the Beruit in Toledo.

Also spent time with Lila, Kathy, Rita, Sue and the guys Bob, Ron, Les and Joe. No photo evidence, but trust me, we had lots of laughs. Oh and one more thing happened while I was in Ohio. OSU became national champs. Go Bucks.
